Not the usual itinerary

Rainforest mornings, hidden corners of the city and slow island afternoons.

Malaysia beyond the usual itinerary

This is a small-group trip built around looking closely. We spend mornings in the rainforest, an afternoon learning to draw what we see, a day at a waterfall, and a few slow days by the sea on Tioman Island.

Beetles and insects are part of it, but you don’t need to love them. The idea is to slow down and notice what most visitors walk past.

Irina knows Kuala Lumpur from the inside, so the city days go beyond the main sights. There is structure on the days that matter and plenty of free time in between.

This trip suits you if you…

Enjoy nature, wildlife, photography or drawing, or are simply curious.

Would rather have a small group than a crowded tour.

Like unusual encounters more than ticking off sights.

Travel solo, with a friend or with a partner, and want good company.

Are happy with warm, humid weather and some walking on forest paths.

A different rhythm each day

Each day opens to the full plan on the live page. Wildlife can’t be promised, and weather or local conditions may change the plan. We’ll adjust on the day.
